The challenge

Hiperbanco operates in a Fintech/BaaS environment, with a constant need for secure, scalable digital products. I came in as the sole designer responsible for the full cycle, from discovery and problem definition to validating and delivering solutions, working under tight deadlines across multiple fronts in parallel.

The process

1. Discovery and research: mapping journeys and flows, benchmarking, and analyzing feedback and usage data to spot opportunities and shape business hypotheses.
2. Information architecture and wireframes: structuring low-fidelity solutions to validate hypotheses before any visual decisions.
3. Interactive prototypes: evolving into high fidelity, with responsive interfaces for web and mobile.
4. Usability testing: validating with real usage and tracking conversion, engagement, and drop-off metrics.
5. AI in practice: using AI agents and skills to automate tasks, support analysis, and speed up the cycle without losing quality.
6. Documentation and backlog: defining processes and documentation standards together with cross-functional teams, supporting scope, technical feasibility, and delivery tracking.
7. Stakeholder validation: following through on deliveries until final validation with clients and business teams.

Results

• Safer, more intuitive journeys, validated with real usage.

What I learned

Working as the sole designer under high pressure taught me to prioritize without cutting corners, to back product decisions with data rather than just intuition, and to keep the thread between strategy and delivery even with discovery, execution, and validation all running in the same cycle.
